CHICK-IT-OUT this Spring!
Welcome Back to the Chick-It-Out Website!
During the month of April,
the Youth Services Department will be incubating chicken eggs!
Last year this “Eggciting Eggtivity” was so popular
that we decided to do it again!
Join us every day from
April 7 thru late May, 3:30 -4:30 p.m.
to check on the chicks’ daily development.
Children can make a
craft and join an activity each day
that helps them learn about the chicks.
Baby chicks will begin to hatch on
April 27 and 28.
You can also keep up-to-date on the chicks’ progress at home by going to
www.chick-it-out-crpl.blogspot.com
or the Chick Webcam link at www.chicagoridge.lib.il.us.
In late May, the chicks leave for their new home
at the Children’s Farm in Palos Park
and a family farm in the southwest suburbs.
We want to thank the Friends of the Library
for purchasing the incubator.
